Robert J. Guerreso, DO, joined the Northside Family Medicine Residency as part time faculty in May of 2019. He received his degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan, in 1989 earning his Doctor of Osteopathy. He then completed his osteopathic internship at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, then his family medicine residency at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. Dr. Guerreso is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1992.
Dr. Guerreso has been in private practice his entire career owning and operating his private practice, initially for 2 years in Battle Creek, Michigan, then, here in Lawrenceville for the past 24 years. His focus throughout his career has encompassed traditional community primary care, the creation of a large family medicine practice with full integration of team oriented, patient centered service.
His main goal at Northside Family Medicine Residency is to impart upon the resident physicians the necessary personal and clinical skills required to function at the highest level as a community servant.
Dr. Guerreso is married to Julie for 31 years and has three children. He lives in Duluth, GA and enjoys traveling, golf, fitness training and is an aspiring American presidential historian.
