Dr. Karen Buhariwalla is board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgeon who specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of breast cancer and all breast-related disorders.
Dr. Buhariwalla received her Bachelors in Science in Neurosicence at the University of Miami, and completed her medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her residency in general surgery at Prime Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan, also serving as Chief Resident. She then completed a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology, receiving specialized training in diagnosing and treating both benign and malignant breast cancers.
Dr. Buhariwalla offers compassionate, personalized care for each unique patient, and is skilled in the latest and most advanced procedures, including minimally-invasive surgery and nipple-sparing techniques. She works alongside primary care physicians and other specialists, providing a comprehensive and team-based approach to patient care.
In her free time, Dr. Buhariwalla enjoys spending time with her family, painting, traveling and hiking.
